The Simplicity Of Gel Fireplaces

Home Improvement

Nothing makes your home more welcoming than the warmth and crackle of a fireplace. There is a wide offering selection of Gel fireplaces that will match your needs in size, style and finish. With a Gel fireplace, you can now have the warmth; beauty and convenience of a fireplace in locations where you never thought possible Gel Fireplaces do not require a chimney or expensive gas or electrical hookups!

Gel Fireplaces burn an all-natural, jelled alcohol that is 100% efficient and ecologically sound. Each can burns for two to three hours and can be reused until empty. They are safe and completely smokeless and even provide the romance of the traditional sound of the "pop and crackle" found in a wood fire... without the mess. Each can of jel produce up to 3,000 BTU's an hour and one may burn up to 3 cans at a time. Since there is no chimney heat stays in the room though these are primarily decorative and not designed as a primary heating source. They will certainly help keep the chill out on a cold day. Cost of a can of fuel is approximately $.80 per hour, most people burn 2-3 cans for a wider flame. Fuel can be shut down and saved for another time by replacing the can lid.

The product has been tested by a number of independent research laboratories and found to be perfectly safe. The air quality of the product in a room when the fuel is burning falls within the standards established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (O.S.H.A.) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Gel fireplaces allow you to enjoy a warm, romantic fire in any room in your house without any of the cost; mess or smell associated with a traditional fireplace and can be set up in minutes. They are ideal for apartments, condominiums, mobile homes, bedrooms, bathrooms, offices, and conference rooms. Place one just about anywhere you wish to have the beauty of a real flame fireplace. Gel fireplaces can also be moved from room to room making them the perfect portable fireplace.

Planning Permission Tips Uk - Loft Conversions In Uk Properties - Do They Add Value?
We get a great many requests to view the potential of Loft conversions. This type of extension has remained fairly popular since I first started designing property & is perhaps even more in demand now than ever before - especially in dense urban areas where the alternative choices for that fourth bedroom are somewhat limited. Now, the popular press would have you believe that they do not add value or have limited appeal. However, that blanket broad brush, slightly disrespectful opinion does not ring true for most of our clients. So what is going on? As always, the devil is in the detail - the detail in this respect is mainly focuss...(related: Home Improvement)

Ideas For Interior Design
Ideas for interior design are a dime a dozen these days. In fact, you can likely watch one hour of television dedicated to the subject and come away with enough information to design an entire home. Patios: The New Trend In Home Remodels
In years past a patio was sort of a throw on to a home. It was typically a concrete slab to keep your feet clean on your way in or out. Then you'd plunk down a couple of chairs and a table and enjoy your patio when the sun went down. More recently, covered patios have become very popular. Adding a patio or "outdoor living area" to your home is both a great inves...(related: Home Improvement)

Building A Pair Of Heavy Duty Saw Horses
Start out by measuring and cutting all your stock according to the cutting list and set it aside. Take the legs and mark out the tapers. The taper starts 20" up from the bottom. The leg tapers to 3-1/2" at the bottom. Repeat for all the legs and cut out.The legs join the main stretchers at 75°. This cut is best made with a circular saw. Mark your lines, clamp the stock on edge and cut. Flip the stock over to the other edge and make the through cut.Time for some assembly. On the main stretcher mark a line 1-1/2" from each end. This is the outer face of the leg. Now make a second mark in from one edge 1". This is the top of the leg. Do this for each leg on both stretchers.Apply some glue to the angled side of the leg and posit...(related: Home Improvement)

Home Inspection Basics
The Home InspectorWhen you think about it, it is a bit odd. A person hires a stranger to snoop around another stranger's house for a couple hours and report back. It's sounds rather like someone hiring a burglar to case a house for a robbery. The major difference is that the owner of the home is a willing participant, too, and that everything is actually quite legal and above board. The motive of the buyer is, of course, to make sure that he or she doesn't get 'robbed' with a broken-down furnace that the seller say is fine, for example. This happened to me in the days before home inspection was a common part of the real estate transaction. Though the service has been around since the 1970s, it has only re...(related: Home Improvement)

Heart Of The Home
It started with my need for a new mixer. OK. Well, maybe not exactly. It probably really started when we bought our home in Connecticut two years ago. The kitchen needed a make-over. Not a complete renovation--as some do--but a make-over, to be sure. Its footprint was fine, as was its size. Windows and doors were good, too. But it was dreary. Dark, drab and dreary. But a re-do--no matter the scope--was out of our reach at move-in, just as it is now. So I've tried to not think about it too much. That's tougher than it sounds. What with me being a "visual person"--energized by color and proportion and pattern--and kitchen tours taking up space on every New England town's calendar within the next few ...(related: Home Improvement)
