Inflatable Aircraft Wing Camber Modification

Aviation

Every aircraft is a compromise. It is either built to fly fast or slow to land in tight distances and carry more weight. It is a jet or propeller driven craft. It costs a lot with high tech materials or it is simplistic and has less performance. Aircraft are built for many reasons, each one maybe more or less important for its intended purpose. Some aircraft are made to slightly change in flight to serve a niche or a couple of niches better than comparable type aircraft. As we learn more about our options of materials in aerospace we learn of was to incorporate multiple uses and still maintain safety at low airspeeds and efficiency at high speeds.

I propose an inflatable wing camber modification system for modern day fighter aircraft to save on fuel and increase range. By increasing the lift on take off where much fuel is used we can increase the range of fighter aircraft in the battlespace while simultaneously increasing the payloads of smart munitions to kill, annihilate and destroy the enemy to serve our political will. Smile in preemption, it is about winning. The system would be recessed into two-inch deep areas on the wings. Consider the landing speeds of an F-104, consider the ability to decrease the weight of the landing gear and size of tires to increase payloads. Consider the ware and tear and maintenance costs, which would be saved? Consider the slow speed changes in flight characteristic and decreased safety risks in shorter take off and landing rolls. The performance changes would also vastly assist in close air support or carrier landing handling.

For UAVs the performance would allow additional time loitering in the battlespace with increased range and slow flight speeds would allow for better imagery to identify targets before eliminating them from this time period. Think on these concepts.

Private Jet Ownership Indeed
Wouldn't you like to own your own private jet? Have you ever thought about it? Many of us have and you know what it is not all that expensive as you might think after all. Private jet ownership is really taking off these days. As a matter of fact manufacturers of business aircraft are quite happy with the market sector and most are completely bullish on their future prospects in the industry. There is much interest in the private transportation sector and jet aircraft business. Fractional Jet ownership has never been easier. While we are nearing the top of a classic business cycle we see good economic conditions. Business Jet sales and fractional ownership continue to rise; in fact one aircraft manufacturing in a press release stated that they predict; "8,300 business jet ...(related: Aviation)

The History Of The Aircraft Wash Guys, Part One
Business scholars and students throughout recent periods have studied the fascinating business model of franchising. In the most history of commerce under a common currency from Amsterdam forward to the Global Power House of the United States of America we have seen franchises lead the way. The first franchise was said to be that of the Singer Sewing Machine. Yet if one were to carefully study the Catholic Church or even colonialism itself you can see that franchising or at least its structure is all over mankind's creations. This is on of the reasons we study franchising and franchised compani...(related: Aviation)

First Class Airfare: How The Rich Travel
Have you ever wondered what all entails first class airfare, but never knew where to look? First class airfare can cost up to 15 times more than the regular fares for the same trip. So what do travelers living the high life actually get for these super inflated prices? Well, a lot. This article will detail the major carriers, and what they provide their first class airfare clients with. It's a wild ride ? are you ready?First Class Airfare: Goodie Bags...(related: Aviation)

A Look At Fractional Jet Ownership
We've all experienced it - the commercial flight. After a mad dash to make it to the airport on time, including the hours allotted for getting through security, where you'll have to take off your shoes, empty your pockets, and prove that your laptop is not a bomb, you sit and wait for a couple hours before they decide to start boarding, and give you the privilege of sitting in the cramped seat that you paid a couple hundred dollars for.The mega-rich have always had the option of private aircraft available to them. If you're Donald Trump, you can think nothing of equipping yourself with a Boeing 727 that costs probably close to $50 Million (not including the costs of pilots, flight attendants, support staff, insurance, fuel, maintenance, etc.). For others, however, the idea of a private jet has been outs...(related: Aviation)

Cactus Fly-in, Casa Grande Az
Every year in Arizona is the Cactus Fly-in which is one of the largest events in the city of Casa Grande AZ air show and fly-in, which is always well attended and a huge success. The event seems to be growing every year, much busier this year than last year even though general aviation has suffered due to 9-11. It is events like this that help us promote our general aviation business sector in the United States.http://www.cactusflyin.orgThe weather was great this year, not too hot and no rain. We are seeing a recovery in general aviation after many companies, especially FBO at smaller airports were forced out of business. Sure many of these services will be replaced, but the all in one type aviation services business will be tough, airport flight schools may opt out of other type services and concentrat...(related: Aviation)

Top Ten Secrets To Saving Big Money In The Airline Flights
Do you know that some people travel around the country andabroad, for both business and pleasure, and save bundles of money in the process? They do that by using little known ways of really taking advantage of the most popular form of transportation - airline flights. They don't rely on the ever-famous "airfare price-wars". They don't rely on their travel agents to save money while flying.Certainly, you should not dismiss these two methods. The price-wars can work to your advantage. But depending on them too much is a big mistake.1. Call the airlines.Call the airlines between midnight and 1 a.m. Monday throughFriday to get cheaper ticke...(related: Aviation)

Future Shuttle Launches
The military aircraft we have are all equipped with anti-SAM systems. These prevent SAMs, Surface-to-air-missiles, which are heat seeking from hitting the aircraft. The systems send out many very hot flare type pieces out of the back of the aircraft and fool the Surface to air missile into thinking that those are the targets, thus the missile goes after the chafe flares instead of the actual aircraft. Is it possible to have such a system for the space shuttle launch? Or can we send up fire works along the perimeters of the spectator areas to trick a missile fired by anyone with a hand held surface to air shoulder launched weapon? We know our Space Shuttle could be targeted by International Terrorists. Is there a way to use a similar type system to prevent lig...(related: Aviation)

Flying Vs Driving
When fuel costs are so high, people favor flying to driving. If the distance to be traveled is over 500 miles it often makes sense to fly. If the distance is over 1000 miles then it definitely makes sense to fly to save fuel. In fact unless you really need ...(related: Aviation)

Jet Lag ? 5 In-flight Tips
The secret to combating jet lag, and arriving at your destination with little or no jet lag, lies in sound preparation well in advance of your date of travel. This, however, is only the foundation of your "anti jet lag" plan and all of your sound preparatory work will be wasted if you don't also ensure that you follow a sensible routine during your flight. Here are just five of the many things that you can do during your flight to reduce, or eliminate, the effects of jet lag:1. Make sure that you get adequate rest. Many people find that they can't, or simply don't want to, sleep during their flight. This is fine, although trying to get some sle...(related: Aviation)

Tactile Strip Sensors On Leading Edge Of Material Memory Airfoils
Aircraft designers have always tried to figure out the best compromise for the aircraft they build, trying to get maximum performance at both high and low airspeeds. Now with material memory components they will be able to do this. The camber of the leading edge can change to a nice fat round area for slow speeds when Short Take Off and Landing STOL is needed and back to a thin leadin...(related: Aviation)
