Hypersonic Or Ultrasonic Sound To Disrupt Laser Beam Attack On Commercial Airliners
|
In large buildings to prevent sound pollution often double paned glass is used with music or flowing air between the panes, this works very well and is sufficient to prevent the noise. Since many commercial airliners have double paned glass already if we are careful to watch the harmonics as to not cause structural problems to the aircraft (remember the Comet), then we propose hypersound or ultrasonic sound within the panes to prevent laser light from entering the cockpit and inhibiting or blinding the pilots.
As we recently saw with the Delta Airlines scare where the pilots were nearly blinded by what they described as a laser light, we believe that this idea may be the answer.

We believe such a device could be easily and cheaply built and installed in airliners. Such a device and use of hypersound might even be an option for those who fly into combat where THEL systems are guarding the region. Once seen by the enemy it maybe too late to dodge the lasers, as it takes such a small time to burn the retinas of a pilots eyes.
It is possible that such a method may give the pilots a few seconds extra time to put on anti-laser head gear.

Lockheed Loitering Missile Expandable Wing Concept
Smart Missiles are expensive, but effective. Efficiency in the the new paradigm of the net-centric warfare will yield results to those who pay attention and do not waste assets.I propose that we add to the wing area of the newest Lockheed Martin Marietta Loitering Missile to allow for maximum loitering time in the battlespace and for possible safe recovery without damage in the event we wish to retrieve this ultra smart munitions due to lack of available targets. At the wing folds out, it will have attached a webbing, which would inflate thru ram air and then cl...(related: Aviation)
5 Tips For Stress Free Long Haul Flights
The world is becoming smaller by the day. Flying long haul to distant locations for business or pleasure is becoming increasingly more popular. There are more aircraft, more airports to fly to and more people ready to spend half a day or longer in the air. It is quite simply eas...(related: Aviation)

Airbus A-380 Is Pretty Big
You know the Airbus A-380 is so huge it takes 2 hours to load and unload and that is if you are rushing the people on and off like cattle. The aircraft holds more fuel than a Boeing 727 weighs. As a matter of fact it has more water on board for the toilets than the fuel in a Boeing 737. Enormous aircraft indeed, but there are man...(related: Aviation)
Aerodynamic Inflatable Wing Gates For Stol
Low speed flight characteristic are crucial to safety. Those aircraft that have good flight characteristics at low speeds are favored by pilots and the companies, military, NGO or private individuals who operate them. One way to increase positive slow speed flight characteristics is to install vertical gates on top of the wings of the aircraft to keep the air flowing over the wing at slow speeds. The only problem is that at high speeds these gates may also cause increased parasite drag which effects performance.I propose inflatable wing gates to pop up on modern day aircraft to allow for slower stall speeds on landing. This will increase tire and decrease landing speeds for increased safety. Additionally it will assist the aircraft by decreasing take roll. The gates ...(related: Aviation)
Business Aviation Networking Notes
The process of finding out about a job, getting interviewed, and eventually receiving an offer for employment starts with networking. By networking I don't mean sending hundreds of copies of your resume unsolicited to H.R. managers throughout the country, but by establishing contacts with people who may be in a position to hire you or refer you to someone who does the hiring. Let's take a look at some ways to help you break in to business aviation by following certain tips.In corporate aviation, there are several key players in the field that you probably have heard of. Jet Aviation, TAG, and Netjets are some of the larger players and they all have a staff ofquali...(related: Aviation)
Really Cheap Plane Tickets
To begin with, the best place to buy really cheap plane tickets is online. Travel agencies can't compete with discount ticket sites. Search Google ("cheap airfare south america", for example), or try the well-known sites, like Expedia, Travelocity, Cheap Tickets, Hotwire or Priceline.Just now I checked fares from Tucson, Arizona to Traverse City, Michigan on the five sites mentioned above. The cheapest quotes ranged from $704 to $432. Nevermind which was cheapest (oh, okay, it was Expedia), because you never know from day to day which sites will find the cheapest flights.Check at least three places. In this case, it would...(related: Aviation)
Faa Intervention In Privatized Space Flight Is Ridiculous
Burt Rutan and his team of designers, engineers and test pilots at Scaled Composites did something no private group had ever done. They proved that private space flight is feasible and safe. With the help of some Billionaire entrepreneurial investors they are poised to build an entire industry of Private Space Flight. This after other said it was impossible. And for their efforts and vision they won a 10-million dollar prize in doing so. This is a true testament to private enterprise and capitalism, it proves that; "Free Enterprise beats out bureaucracy...(related: Aviation)
