I'll be honest, when I started Network Marketing online I just did not "get" Twitter. Now, it is my favourite method of sharing content because it is so viral. Your content can be shared with THOUSANDS of others at the click of a button. Twitter is an amazingly powerful tool that can bring you leads and new distributors instantly.

#1 - Find People With Similar Interests
The best people to target are people doing the same as you - looking to make money from home in network marketing. If you can get these people interested in you and position yourself as a leader you will have a hoard of followers ready to listen whenever you talk.

#2 - Make Connections
Don't just follow people on Twitter, find out a bit about them. Look at their Tweets, ask them questions...make a connection. Now when you Tweet they will recognize you, simply because you had some dialogue with them.

Twitter is not the place to market your product, or your network marketing opportunity. It organizes your Twitter feed, Mentions and Direct messages into columns, allows you to tweet right from your desktop and shortens links for you using whatever service you like. It's so cool, and FREE!

For WordPress install OpenWire and Twitter Tools. Search for them under Plugins. These will let you share your blog posts immediately with Twitter as well as many other social bookmarking sites. The more backlinks to your website the better!

#5 - Become Part of A Tribe
A tribe will help you get your content all over websites like Twitter, Facebook and Digg. Every one must share the content of 5 people before submitting their own. Search engines love Twitter profiles that have more that one source of information, so this helps you a lot too. When you join this community your posts, videos and website will be shown to hundredss of users every day, some of which will share your content with their followers. This means a LOT of people start to see you and your content.
