The truth about canola oil

By: Greg Kolesnik

Canola oil is prepared from rapeseed. Rapeseed in fact had to be bred more than the years to reduce the percent of a problematic element of rapeseed, that is erucic acid.

Canola oil typically ranges among 52-64% monounsaturated fats and between 30-35% polyunsaturated fat, with even a tiny quantity of saturated fats.

While we've been led to believe that high monounsaturated fat oils are good for us (which they are here from virgin olive oil or from unprocessed nuts or seeds), the fact is that canola oil contain more detriments rather it does settlement.

One of the main complications with highly processed and refined vegetable oils these like corn oil, soybean oil, and sure, just canola oil, is that the
polyunsaturated component of the oil is extremely not stable under heat, light, and pressure, and that heavily oxidizes the polyunsaturates that raises open radicals in your mass.

The ending effect of all of these refining and processing are oils that are extremely provocative in your mass as you eat them, likely contributing to heart sickness, weight gain, and other similar degenerative illnesses.

The cause that extra virgin olive oil is excellent for you is that it is cold pressed without the use of heat and solvents to aid extraction.

Canola oil, from another point of view, is typically extracted and refined by high heat, pressure, and oil solvents such as hexane. Mainly canola oil undergoes a produse of caustic refining, degumming and deoderization, all by tall temperature and several chemical components.

Does canola even have trans fat?

Even worse, all of this tall heat, tall pressure processing by solvents in reality forces several of the omega-3 content of canola oil to be transformed into trans fats.

As stated by Dr. Mary Enig, PhD, and Nutritional Biochemist, "Although the Canadian authority lists the trans fat contents of canola at a minimum 0.2 percentage, the study at the University of Florida at Gainesville, found trans fat levels as high as 4.6 percent in commercial liquid canola oil".

And how can we speak about a "health oil" here !

As you can see from the details over on how canola oil is refined, it is barely some healthier for you than extra trash oils as soybean oil or corn oil. The bottom line is that it is an inflammatory oil in your body and must be avoided.

The only canola oil that might be reasonable is if you notice that it is "cold pressed" and natural. Main canola oil is NOT cold pressed or organic, so you might as well choose oils that you know are healthier.

So don't be fooled by food labels claiming that they have "fit canola oil"... as you can see, this couldn't be far from the reality! Choose a number of the healthier solutions above and your body will be grateful you!
