The connection of shooting games and today’s crime

Thanks to the fast development of technology, today’s video games become more and more realistic. They aren’t just simple games which represent us just an invented character in his world who has to complete a simple task. Developers went very further, everyday they are searching the best ways how to keep the population in front of their computers, inspired to finish the game they have started, thanks to the increased power of today’s platform, the amazing game play and the high quality graphics and soundtrack.

Violent games, shooting games especially became very famous. Today in every house we can find at least one game which includes shooting. These games are played equally from the both genders, doesn’t matter the age. But the question is: does playing this kind of games contributes to the rise of today’s crime?

According to the many research that have been made about this theme: violent crime, especially among the youth, has increased so fast since the early 1990s. During the same period of time, video games have steadily increased in popularity and use. As video games gain in their quality, in that way more persons, especially teens who spent most of the time playing this sort of games, imagining themselves like part of this virtual world, when they are in front of similar situation in the real world they act aggressive. If you wonder why stable environments become homicidal, maybe sometimes we have to look beyond the games they play.
