Some myths and realities about fat loss exercise programs

By: nicewebster mas

Overweight and obesity became a worldwide issue, that The World Health Organization (WHO, 2004, Australia) declared that it is nearly epidemic.
Since it became a great concern, it is a good time to look at some beliefs, the myths and the facts. That could be used as a guide for those who need it.
The five most common myths and their translation…

Fat loss exercise programs myth number 1:
In order to get the best out of your weight loss program, you will have to do your cardio, the first thing in the morning.
Fact? There isn’t a rigid rule that the cardio has to be the first operation, or it has to be done in the morning. Once upon a time exercise was intended to be done in the morning (at dawn), because we estimated that it was the best moment for the body to exercise. However, today, science accepted the fact that different people have different peak hours; you can choose the best time that suits you.
Fat loss programs exercise myth number 2:
Unless the cardio is done for at least 20 minutes, there will be no fat loss.
Fact? The loss of fats occurs gradually and concomitant to exercise that the body is put through. The body certainly will not be programmed to wait exactly 20 minutes before burning fat. Even if we think about it, it sounds ridiculous.
Fat loss exercise programs myth number 3:
Your cardio will not be crowned with success if it is not done in the burned fat zone.
Fact? This myth perhaps is one of the biggest of all times. You don’t have to be the fat zone in order to burn fat. Weight loss depends on many factors, and one could still lose weight more easily, and you can lose weight easily, even if you do not appear in the fat zone on the cardio.
Fat loss exercise programs myth number 4:
This one is recently added to the myth list, it says that you could quite simply lose fat by drinking 8-12 glasses of icy water.
Fact? I consider that as an invitation to a terrible sore throat, then cold. Yes, drinking water indirectly helps in weight loss, because it fills the stomach (and allows fewer food ingestion). It is true that you need 8-12 glasses of water per day to remain healthy because the body needs water to function well. However, it doesn’t matter at which temperature you drink the water.
Fat loss exercise programs myth number 5:
Negative food calories are the best when you are on a diet.
Fact? Logically, if you could deduct calories from food that you eat, at a certain point you will end up at zero. That means, when you consume negative calorie food, you don’t eat at all. It was an expression intended to symbolize the fact that the body takes time to digest food. That is all.
