Those who don't get a lot of sleep usually tend to overeat to give them the energy they would have gained by getting more sleep. Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night for a month and see what a difference it makes to your overall health!

2. Sweat out a little in the evenings. Research shows that our metabolism tends to slow down during late in the afternoon or at the end of the day. So, in order for you to burn more calories, do some evening walks and other exercise forms at that time of day, allowing you to sweat it out and burn calories.

3. Increase your motion. To state the obvious, movement means loss of calories. Try to walk to a nearby location instead of driving. Take the stair cases instead of using the elevator. Do some gardening instead of watching more TV. Soon, you will notice that as your life becomes more active, you will have learned one of the secrets of how to burn belly fat off.

4. Add more protein to your diet. Proteins are what stabilizes the insulin production in your body. Too much insulin (triggered by sugary foods) results in more fat storage in particulary your midsection.

5. Do not skip meals. This is definitely something you want to stay away from. You do your body no good by sending it into "starvation mode". All you are doing is that all you are doing is telling your body that it needs to store extra fat incase it doesn't get new nutrients, and that it should slow down your metabolism to match the food intake. And really, skipping meals will never make you have a flat, toned stomach. It is absolutely not how to burn belly fat off.

6. Stay hydrated. Drinking a lot of water will help keep your joints moving well and will help to flush away excess fats in your body and blood stream.

7. Develop lean muscle. How to burn belly fat off best is to keep increasing lean muscle. Lean muscle both speeds up your metabolism and burns fat.
