Everyone looks to be grousing concerning how bad things are these days, and perhaps they are right, however I surprise how much our funniness contributes to our mindset. Abbot and Costello would make the house howl over some of their bits involving math or "Who's on Initial?" Groucho Marx had a fast wit and tongue who could build your head spin. These days, all of those routines would be thought of lame. I think the difference here is that the comedians of yesteryear wanted you to use your head and think. They offered mental gymnastics based on some terribly simple observations familiar to the common man. If you wished one thing risqu?, you either had to travel to Las Vegas or a nightclub. These days, you'll be able to notice it on simply about any channel on your television set, including Disney.
These days's humor will best be described as "in your face" leaving nothing to the imagination.
