Why should you spend all your valuble time on building a website for it to not be indexed by these valuable search engines. As above I did mention major search engines like Google and Yahoo and in my opinion the reason why these are important because they have the major amount of users searching at one time. All the major search engines like google, yahoo and others use what is known as crawlers, spiders or robots that follow web links or the links you submitted to there sites. They then read the content of the page and then index it into there search results.

When designing your website you need to take into account how your web site will look. To make it simpler for the search engines, a good navigation menu must be placed on your site. This not only helpful for search engines but it is also helpful for your visitors to your site because they would be able to surf or navigate your site with ease.

Another great tip is to not put to many graphics on your site. If you do then make sure they are optimized to reduce the size of the images or clipart to give the page a quicker loading time. People who surf the net have a very short waiting time for pages to load so if your page is full of large sized graphics then it could take a long time to load which means you have lost a valuable visitor.

If you have important information that you would like to include on your site then it is a good thing not to use images or flash presentations that could hold vital information that could help your site rank higher. Search engines do not read text in images or flash presentations so it is important to include this infomation also in the body text or your website.

Since the begining of the internet things have changed. There used to be the usual HTML or if you are new to this Hyper Text Markup Language. This used to be the code to follow and learn if you wanted to create a webpage. In my opinion if you are new to web design you still need to know the basics of all HTML like anything else the basics are better to learn from the start then you can always build on them later.
