Do You Have Symptoms of Ovarian Cyst?

By: Marion Bailey

Some symptoms of ovarian cysts can be easy to detect and some will be not so easy to find. If, at any time what so ever, you suspect that you could have any symptoms of ovarian cysts you should see your doctor as soon as you can. Only a doctor can tell you for certain if you have cysts. The list below contains an overview of some of the symptoms of ovarian cysts:

· Irregular Menstrual Periods (or none at all)
· Possible Infertility
· High Blood Pressure
· Resistance to Insulin
· Unexplained Weight Gain
· Pain in the Lower Back
· Painful Menstrual Periods
· Pressure in Abdomen
· Bladder Problems

There are many other symptoms of ovarian cysts and PCOS, but these are the most commonly found in women today. If you have some of these symptoms and you go to the doctor and are diagnosed with ovarian cysts, do not be too worried. Your doctor should be able to outline some of your treatment options.

There is presently a problem with the way traditional medicine treats this condition; the doctors only treat the current cysts and don’t bother to deal with what can happen in the future. They do not have any treatment to prevent the problem from coming back.

Many of the drugs and treatment that the medical establishment will prescribe are as painful and as damaging as the cysts themselves. The normal treatments will include either hormonal birth control drugs or painful surgeries. None of these will do anything to help prevent the cysts from coming back again and again. The cysts will just keep on re-occurring until you find a way to prevent them.

The symptoms of ovarian cysts are best kept at bay by using natural preventative methods in the privacy of your own home. There are many simple and easy things that can help prevent the symptoms of ovarian cysts. Some of these are; increasing your intake of water and fiber, drinking certain special herbal teas, special exercise and maintaining a diet. All of these simple things will help prevent your cysts from coming back and give you some immediate relief from the discomfort. As I said earlier all these simple things are easy to do in the privacy of your own home and if done properly will make a big difference in the quality of your life.

Now, I am not a doctor and I do not suggest that you don’t seek professional medical treatment if you have any symptoms of ovarian cysts, you should go immediately if you suspect you have any symptoms. What I will suggest though, is that if you make certain changes in your diet and lifestyle, you will see that it can work wonders for your body and it will help you relieve the pain and discomfort of your cysts. You will also see that these changes will help prevent them from re-occurring.
