Candidiasis is not regarded as a sexually transmitted disease but in certain cases it is often transmitted from one partner to another. Usually men can contract yeast infections while having unprotected sex with their partner who is already suffering from yeast infection. The situation can become worse while having sex with no enough lubrication.

Use of antibiotics is also regarded being a major contributor of yeast infections. Prolonged use of antibiotics is likely to result in candidiasis and such kind of infections cannot be prevented. However, you can find many treatment methods and remedies accessible to cure the disease.

The yeast fungus likes to thrive in sugar rich environments. These kinds of environments are provided in diabetic men and women. They tend to have elevated sugar levels which provide a breeding ground for Candida to multiply extensively and cause yeast infections.
