Birth and his early career

David Villa the leading Spanish football player was born on 3rd of December 1981. The player mostly plays as striker for the FC Barcelona and for the Spanish national football team. The player is known for his hard work since he started his career even after he came across serious injury as a child. From 2000 till 2004 Villa played in local football games. In 2005 he made his international debut against San Marino. He was in the Spain teams which won the Euro 2008
and 2010 World Cup.

Family and personal life

Villa has nickname “El Guaje” which means “the kid” in Austrian. Villa is happily married to Patricia Gonzalez. They married in 2003 and Patricia Gonzalez is his child hood sweet heart and also a former football player in her teenage years. Villa has two daughters Zaida and Olaya. The elder girl was born on December 7th and the 2005 and the younger girl was born on 18th August 2009. Villa is highly interested in attending the charity event. He also visited the children’s ward of the clinical hospital of Valencia in order to wish the patients merry Christmas during the Christmas Eve along with formula one racer Fernando Alonso; Villa also actively involved in UNICEF charity campaigns. Every year starting from July 2008 a “David Villa Camp” is being held in which children receive training from professional footballers. Villa also participates in a training session along with the children.

World cup statistics and other achievements

During 200 FIFA World Cup he scored four goals and that won him the silver boot. In the 2010 world cup he scored five goals. He is the only player in Spain’s history who has currently scored more World Cup goals and he stands second in the nation’s top scorer’s list. The player has pride that his goal per game ration among the country has not been matched by any Spaniard yet. His goal per game ratio is in all the world cup games is higher than that of the top scorer Ronaldo. In the year of 2009 the player scored number of goals any other player. He scored 43 goals from 54 games. During the period the IFFHS listed him 4th in the “world’s Top Goal Scorer” rankings. In 2010 he came 1st in their list of world’s top goal scorer at international level rankings.
