Cervical Cancer

Every woman has womb. The womb is the main part of the body that has function as the place for baby to grow. The womb is a complex system. It consists of many parts. One of the parts is cervix. Cervix is the opening of the womb or the uterus. This cervix is the place where sperms go in and meet the ovum. When they meet then a baby is form. There are many diseases has close relationship with cervix. The most common happen disease is cancer. Cancer in general is referred to uncontrolled cell growth. The cell growth is intended to replace cells that have died, so it means that if there is no cell to replace, the new cell will not grow. In cancer, the cell keeps growing although it doesn’t replace another cell. As the result it forms a swelling or lump. The cervical cancer or the cervical dyspalsia is the presence of the precancerous changes of the cells inside the inner lining of the cervix or the opening to the womb. Dysplasia is a term to infer to the abnormal appearance of cells. This abnormal appearance only can be seen under microscope. There are many level of severity in this case. There is mild degree, moderate and severe dysplasia. In general, cervical cancer is caused by infection of the cervix with human papiloma virus. This virus is very dangerous because there are more than 100 human papiloma. The researchers have found a proof that it infects the lining cells of the genital and reproductive tract in all women. Other research mentions that human papiloma virus is a very common infection and it infects through sexual contact. It there is a patient with human papiloma virus is having sex with a woman; the woman will surely get infected. Experts say that over 75% of sexually active women are thought to acquire the virus.

There are six million people are infected every year in USA and 50% of it is aging between 15 - 25 years old. Most of the HPV infection is greater over time and it can remain in the body for a long time. The factor that makes human papiloma virus retains in body is the advancing age, duration of the infection and also infected with the high risk human papiloma virus. The cervical cancer can cause you not to have a baby. The cervix cancer can damage the womb. Moreover, it can spread through the blood stream and can get infected to another part of the body.
