MLM lead generation & network marketing has substantially changed over the last 20-30 years. In basic terms, the RULES have changed. When being new or even a few years down the road, your upline/ sponsor will tell you to do the following activities;

1. MLM old school marketing methods that simply will not work
2. Pounding the phone, getting through all the NO'S
3. Your upline telling you that your success lies in going to 'Hotel Meetings'
4. Pitching your Business to leads, trying to convince them to JOIN
6. Bugging & trying to turn your family and friends into becoming 'Distributors'

Prospecting the old was you know it has become obsolete. It's irrelevant old school technology. People are drowning in everyday in flyers, telephone over-load and thousands of different home based business opportunities. People are drowning in a flood of information marketing noise and too many choices to choose from the internet.

People have been forced to build 4 walls around themselves in their own homes to fight back this onslaught of people trying to get their hands into their purses & wallets. People are losing insight into what building a business is really about. Building up Relationships & trust in a person will make all the difference between failure and future success.

People who are searching the internet can get very frustrated and impatient in today's world if not finding what they want quickly. Internet has created a world of opportunities for everyone where you can literally change your life by turning a little thought into a profitable Business.

But unfortunately, 95 percent of those who start 'Home Based Business' will fail themselves and the primary reason for that failure is that they didn't go out to get the knowledge necessary to succeed in today's modern competitive market place.

With that in mind, allow me to pass onto you what I have learnt in the last few years that has help me out tremendously well and as far as I'm concerned, the key to success is this;

1. If you are going to sell something to someone then you need to find a way into their world as a welcome guest.

2. You have 2 option; you can simply play the numbers game and contact enough people until you make a sale through the 'old school traditional way' of prospecting methods. 95 percent of network marketers will take this route.

OR

You can position yourself in the market place that will allow prospects to follow you. As far as I'm concerned, option 2 is the only real way forward to growing a network marketing business in today's 21st Century world.

There are 2 types of marketing;

1. You chase them

2. They chase you which means that you are perceived as being the expert. The prospect invited you into his world and is asking you to sell your products and services. This will allow you to instantly by pass all the 'Barriers and Walls' that must be broken down by everybody else. This is where you need to be into today's market place in order to break through the internet noise that's out there.

So what's the way forward for me then?

Well, that's quite easy. The best marketing weapon in your arsenal is YOU. Because of all the different business opportunities out there, you won't have a chance of getting success looking like everyone in your opportunity. Brand yourself because there's only one of YOU.
